I’ve always been inspired by art and design in different forms.
I’ve come to the architectural industry in a bit of an organic way. After studying for a degree in Visual Arts, I travelled overseas and worked in a variety of roles and inspiring places.
I was enthralled by Gothic and Renaissance style architecture. Particularly buildings like the Notre Dame and the Cologne Cathedral; these are magnificent examples of truly aesthetic design.
I started with Ignite in 2011, and I’ve seen the business grow and expand significantly.
Being approachable is absolutely essential. I get to work with everyone in the business and see every project that comes through the practice. It’s an interesting position to be in.
I’m the face of Ignite for every new employee. Some of the things I’m involved with include overseeing the induction process, setting up submissions, converting successful bids into live projects and tracking scope changes along the way.
The shift of Ignite’s Auckland studio from Parnell to the Viaduct in 2014 really changed the dynamic of the workplace and added a new sense of vibrancy and energy.
My passions are art, music and dance. I also love water-skiing and spending time at the beach in summer.
