I was drawn to architecture as a career because I wanted a job where I could draw and create all day. At school I enjoyed graphic design and art, and I’ve always liked building and constructing things.
BIM is my tool, and I like to know how to get the most out of my tools to use them well, so I have constantly upskilled. This led to me becoming a BIM Manager.
The ASB North Wharf building was a key project in my career, which I worked on for three and half years. From the project’s inception, it was clear that this was going to be a high-end potentially award-winning design.
It is an exciting time in the industry. Architecture as a discipline offers so much opportunity and there are so many different directions you can take it in.
Having a team that is able to work well together, have robust discussions, while respecting each other and the design concept, is integral to the development of an excellent design and finished building suited to the needs of its users.
I am passionate about my family and friends. I love the outdoors, being at the beach and on the water. I think the more we can work with the environment around us the better.
