Having six Architects achieve registration in one year demonstrates Ignite's commitment to employee development.

Ignite is pleased to announce that six members of its Australasian design team have been named Registered Architects.

Stirling Burrows, Leandri Hay, Andy Staples, Johnson Tong and Sean Wijanto are now Registered Architects in New Zealand, while Mazdak Irani has achieved the equivalent title in Australia.

Becoming a Registered Architect is a demanding and lengthy process, with the average graduate taking at least six years before being able to commence the registration process. Applicants must demonstrate a breadth of experience in disciplines such as project initiation and pre-design, and detailed design and documentation.

“We congratulate these individuals on their achievement. It is a prestigious qualification which requires considerable commitment and dedication,” said Michael Bilsborough, Director at Ignite. “Having six architects achieve this standard in one year is a significant number for a practice. It demonstrates our commitment to employee development through initiatives such as our Graduate Development Programme.”

Ignite’s Graduate Development Programme provides support along the journey to become a Registered Architect. It is also designed to enable graduates to register successfully on their first application attempt.

The Graduate Development Programme further supports Ignite’s objective to attract and retain a high calibre of talent from Australasia and around the world.
