Congratulations to Shara Paulo and Tara-Lee Carden, who are both now New Zealand Registered Architects.
Tauranga-based Shara joined Ignite in 2015 as a graduate and quickly made her mark in the studio, recently becoming an Associate.
While earning her own registration, Shara has also helped strengthen Ignite’s Graduate Development Programme by assisting others through the registration process.
Ignite’s Waikato and Bay of Plenty Regional Manager, Associate Director Damian Simpson, says Shara is a great example of what dedication and a passion for architecture can achieve in a short space of time.
“Shara is already proving extremely valuable to Ignite as well as the local community, with a clear passion for Tauranga and for getting more people involved in conversations around the design of their city. Her energy is remarkable and her registration is well deserved,” he says.
Shara was instrumental in bringing the inaugural NZIA Festival of Architecture to Tauranga in 2017, and is already helping to organise this year’s festival, set for September 13 to 23.
Architect Tara-Lee has recently joined Ignite as a member of the Commercial team in the Auckland studio.
Tara-Lee endeavours to craft places that are sensitive to New Zealand’s cultural heritage, and which provide intrinsic value to the project’s stakeholders and the communities that are to receive it.
Tara-lee is passionate about improving diversity in New Zealand’s architectural community, and takes opportunities to participate in A+W events.
Richard Voss, Ignite Director, says: “We are delighted to welcome Tara-Lee to the Ignite team and congratulate her on her achievement as a newly-registered Architect.”
