Ignite is delighted to announce the appointment of Gary Chan and Tony Rowell as Registered Architects by the New Zealand Registered Architects Board (NRAB).
Director Michael Bilsborough leads Ignite’s graduate development programme and has had the opportunity to observe both Gary and Tony throughout their registration journey. “It’s a pleasure to see Gary and Tony reach their registration goal, and a fitting reward for their hard work during 2018”, says Michael. “This is a prestigious qualification that reflects many years of effort and dedication. It’s been a privilege to provide encouragement, mentorship and support to both of them in this process.”
Gary joined Ignite in 2015 and has been involved with a number of high-profile projects, including a ground-breaking new mixed-used development in Elizabeth Street, Tauranga; the new IAG offices in Auckland; Cambridge Lakewood residential development; and a private boat shed on the waterfront at Auckland’s Herne Bay.
Tony joined as an Associate in 2017 and works across the industry spectrum, with a portfolio including residential, high-end residential and public, civic and commercial buildings. His previous work history includes responsibility for major projects across New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga and American Samoa, with a focus on the commercial sector.
In addition to being Registered Architects, Gary and Tony both hold a Masters of Architecture (Prof) (Hons), as well as a Bachelor of Architectural Studies.
