I live and breathe good urbanism and promote collaborative and multi-disciplinary processes of shaping the physical setting for life – the art of making places for people. Life between buildings is essential for people's enjoyment of spaces in the public realm. These elements remain remarkably constant even as architectural styles go in and out of fashion and the character of the 'life between buildings' changes. Ultimately, we should all think about who we are designing for? We are always designing for people. The focus on ‘relationship to human scale’ and importance of the ‘cultural narrative and sense of place’ should be at the ‘centre’ of every project we touch.
