I am always searching for the unique charm of each design – something that brings together all the complexities and opportunities to make architecture compelling for everyone. For me, this starts with listening to the clients and the wider context and then refining the design, maximising the function, beauty, and strength of the resulting architecture. Critical to this, is to ensure that the architectural idea is distilled to a simple elegant aesthetic, delivered and crafted to an exceptional quality. Through this journey, I hope to design and discover novel architecture that people can enjoy now and for generations to come.
I have worked across various typologies including residential, civic, heritage and aged care – gathering experience across the full scope of the design and construction process. I also enjoy teaching at the University of Auckland as a visiting critic and thesis examiner.
