An extensive range craft beers on tap

An authentically Australian food and beverage experience

With six locations Australia-wide, the Malt Shovel Taphouse adopts the conceptual use of craft beer, aligned with high-quality food to expand beverage appreciation. Each venue offers a gender-neutral environment that is family-friendly, warm, inviting, and instilled with local character. Ignite has designed all locations with a didactic approach to encourage visitors to learn about the many ways that craft beer can be enjoyed within a community-oriented social hub.

“The casual bar atmosphere gives patrons an easy, welcoming way of experiencing beer culture.”

Malt Shovel Taphouses feature up to 24 craft beers on tap, a rotisserie kitchen, and relaxed dining spaces for friends and family to enjoy quality food and beverages.

A zoned approach provides each venue flexibility and interchangeable usages, allowing spaces to transform from bar to function space to professional live music venue.

The marriage of wall graphics, branding, and interior design reference the venue's location and culture while cleverly weaving in craft beer references. These visuals have a dual purpose of making the venue non-pretentious and inviting, while successfully supporting the Malt Shovel Taphouse brand message of craft beer as the “hero”. Some locations have an open keg room on display to patrons.

The venues promote safe, community-orientated socialising alongside beer education and appreciation. A comfortable environment is created to encourage slow-paced, informed drinking, paired with simple, modern Australian food.
